Sunday Social #25

Evening all. I know its pretty late but I really wanted to post a Sunday social post as I haven't done one in so long. Once again its been over a month since my last Sunday Social post. I have to admit the last month has not been the most exciting or interesting month of my life. Most of the last month has been spent in the library with my hair in a top knot and wearing big jumpers and no make up. Exam season for me is all about being comfy. However, I thought I would share some pictures of what I have been up to anyway.

Apologies for this blog post being so late. I have just come back  from a last supper with my Uni pals. They are all leaving tomorrow. I can't believe its been almost three years since I started Uni. Its gone so fast but I have made some amazing friends that I will never forget. So now I am sat with a cuppa reminiscing about the last few years.

I think thats all for now before I start gushing! I will be back over the bank holiday with pictures of my summerball outfit. Enjoy your time off work if you get it :) xx

aztec

Evening all. I am back with another outfit post. I hope you don't get too bored of these. I was planning on showing you some thrifty finds but I haven't really found anything at all lately. I went charity shopping earlier on in the week. I looked in about 7 charity shops and all I found was one poster that I liked. Hopefully my charity shop luck will pick up again, I am sure I am just out of practice. I am going to my first car boot sale in ages on Sunday morning too so fingers crossed.

As for this outfit, it's nothing too fashiony but I have just trying to stay cool in all this lovely weather.

My trousers are AA riding pants. They are pretty warm but nice to cover up with in the evenings when its still warm outside. I got this aztec top in New Look last summer and rediscovered it when clearing out my wardrobe recently. My sandals are from Primark. I think they are kinda love em or hate em but I am quite a fan. Unfortunately they have now been ruined a little. I went to the beach and they got ruined in the sand/playing football.

As I mentioned, the last few days have been filled with beach trips plus obligatory scampi and chips and 99 ice creams, and also shopping for bits for my summerball. The summerball is tomorrow and I got the final bits for it today. I will be sure to post an outfit picture of my dress sometime soon. Dress and shoes shopping wasn't too painful in the end and I settled on a Topshop dress and New Look wedge shoes. I'm hoping its going to be a good night as its basically the last time all of my university pals will be together.

I have had a really busy evenings the last two nights so tonight will be all about watching television and eating carbs. Is everyone looking forward to the four day weekend. I can't wait! My plans are as follows; summerball, dinner with friends and then going home for two days. What are your plans? I will be back with an outfit post of my ball dress probably on Sunday. Have a great weekend! xx

neon and riding pants

Evening all. I am writing this as a free woman! My exams finished on Saturday just got, marking the end of my university life. I have spent the last few days in summer holiday mode clearing out my bedroom, rearranging my wardrobe and reading. However, its not summer holiday, this is now my life until I find a job and accept that I have to be an adult.

However, in the mean time I have been buying a few new items, in fact everything in this outfit post is a new buy. I am quite a fan of my new neon jumper and patent slipper shoes from eBay. I also caved in and got American Apparel riding pants one evening after an exam as a treat. My rings are all Topshop.

I saw the neon jumper on one of Victoria's eBay posts and had to get it. I was going to get it in a neon green but I think the coral colour suits me a little better. As for the riding pants, I think I may actually prefer them to disco pants. They are not as flattering but I think they are more comfy and suited to everyday wear. They also don't make me as hot as I am when wearing disco pants, which is obviously helpful in this spell of hot weather we have had lately.

Have you guys been buying anything lately? I have definitely rediscovered my love for eBay. I need to actually list a lot of stuff on eBay but selling can be such a pain with the ridiculous fees and people who don't pay.

So, all in all life is pretty good right now. I've got lots of exciting things planned for July and am planning on having lots of fun in June!

I am getting into a regular routine now so expect lots of blog posts from me. I'll be back in a couple of days time with more outfit pictures. Leave your links before for me to discover new blogs now I have lots of free time. Thanks for sticking by me during my lull of blog posts over exam period. I'm back now :) xx

tie dye

I can't believe this is my first blog post for almost 3 weeks. I apologise for my absence as of late. As most of you will know I am in the final stretch of my University career. I am half way through my exams now and this time next week I shall most likely be typing a Sunday Social post for you, my university career over, nursing a hangover with a large plate of bacon.

My life has been totally consumed lately by revision. However, I took some time out yesterday and went shopping in blue water. I went mainly for some work/interview clothes. Hopefully I will have a few interviews lined up over the summer. I have also secured some work experience with a Barrister too so I will be spending a good few days in court watching her prosecute. Exciting, right?! Let me know if you would like to see some work/smart OOTDs over the summer?

Whilst in Bluewater I had to pop into Urban Outfitters. I picked up this top and these shoes so I thought I would post about them.

As I said, my top is from Urban Outfitters (I wish I could say I made it myself!). It was from the vintage  section and cost £18. I didn't think that was too bad, especially as there is no way I could ever make a tie dye top as good as this. I feel a little like Vince from The Voice when wearing it. I can't wait to wear this top to festivals this summer. I recently bought my ticket to Lounge on the Farm Festival and am hoping it will be just as good as last year

I teamed it with my AA Disco pants and my new pumps. The shoes were reduced to £10 and are not something I would usually go for. But I needed some comfy shoes and these definitely fit the bill.My rings are a mixture from eBay and Topshop.

I think that is all for now. Like I said, sorry for being quiet on the blogging front recently. Please bare with me and I will be back to blogging regular in just one week. Fingers crossed these last two exams go well. Catch you soon! xx
